Head of Hospitality [closed]

At VGH we do not focus solely on treating patients but equally on how we can provide an excellent customer experience. We are recruiting a Head of Hospitality who will ensure that our Hospitals provide an end-to-end excellent customer experience to our patients, family members and visitors.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Cultivate a culture of exceptional customer service across VGH Hospitals;
  • Oversee the daily operations of our facilities ensuring that they are focused on delivering highest levels of customer servicece;
  • Ensure high standards of catering, accommodation, transportation and front office service;
  • Ensure that staff dealing with patients and customers are adequately trained including through the design and delivery of hospitality-focused training programmes;
  • Ensure that complaints are dealt with effectively and that any root causes are addressed;
  • Be responsible for the customer satisfaction results, ensuring that any areas that need improvement are addressed;
  • Act as a leader and role model to hospital colleagues;
  • Review and compile periodical reports and MI;
  • Develop and maintain policies related to Hospitality;
  • Form part of the VGH Hospitals leadership team.

 

The selected applicant will:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a hospitality management position (not necessarily in healthcare);
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Be passionate about providing an excellent customer experience;
  • Possess highly developed leadership skills;
  • Be a good problem solver with a positive and can-do attitude;
  • Preferably have experience in delivering hospitality-focused training;
  • Preferably possess a degree in Tourism Studies or related topic.
