Gozo General Hospital HR Relationship & Services Manager [closed]

The HR Relationship & Services Manager will lead and guide the Gozo Hospital HR team to deliver high quality HR service in relation to the various HR activities. The chosen candidate will be the first point of contact for employees and managers on all day-to-day HR activities and issues. Reporting to the CEO VGH Gozo General Hospital the chosen candidate will also act as liaison between the Corporate and Hospital HR teams.

The duties and responsibilities of the Employee Services Manager include:

  • Point of reference / adviser to the Hospital employees and management on the whole range of HR activities and issues including Reward, Employee Relations, Resourcing, L&D and Change Management
  • Responsible for the HR Administration including employee records, staff transfers, reward (progressions, increments and promotions), engagements & terminations and employee queries
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital managers
  • Provide ER advice including in relation to formulation and implementation of Hospital related policies, disciplinary / grievance cases and Industrial Relations
  • Implementation of HR initiatives and changes including the new IT system
  • Analysis and compilation of statistical returns/reports/submissions
  • Periodical Performance Appraisal process
  • Liaising with employees and Finance department on payroll related queries
  • Maintenance of employee records and databases
  • Projecting a professional image of the HR Function through excellent customer service, operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Carrying out any other duties according to exigencies as directed by the CEO VGH Gozo General Hospital and / or the HR Director.

 

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have minimum 2 years’ experience as an HR Manager
  • Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Possess strong leadership skills and ability to work without supervision
  • Be passionate about change and achieving operational excellence
  • Preferably have worked in Healthcare
  • Preferably be familiar with the Public Service Management Code.
