Procurement Officer [closed]

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about operational excellence and that are looking to pursue a career in a first class international organization to join our team in the following positions:

Reporting to the Head of Liaison, the Procurement Officer will ensure that the company’s procurement is conducted in line with company and industry standards and that the company’s interests are safeguarded in its commercial dealings with both existing and prospective suppliers.

The duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Officer include: Identifying sourcing options for the procurement of goods and services Managing and proposing improvements to the procurement process; Providing guidance to management and colleagues around procurement disciplines and standards as set by the company; Building a professional working relationships with all suppliers; Assisting in the drafting and management of tenders; Ensuring deadlines and product quality specifications are met.

The successful applicant shall: Possess a Degree or qualification related to procurement; Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position preferably within the private sector; Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English with a high degree of assertiveness; Be highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines; Be flexible with a positive and ‘can do’ attitude; Be a strong team player who can work also without supervision.
